Following the release of Bigbang's new track “Still Life,” rapper T.O.P. wrote a heartfelt message to his fans which hinted at an important “turning point” in his life.

Choi Seung-Hyun, also known as T.O.P., took to his Instagram page and wrote an emotional letter to his loyal supporters Tuesday, just a few hours after the release of the group's much-awaited single Monday midnight. "Still Life" is the group’s first musical project in four years following the release of "Flower Road" in March 2018.

"Finally, the music is out," T.O.P. began his note in English. "I wouldn’t be here without all of YG staff’s help. Thank you all for last 16 years. It means a lot to me. I’m thinking I might be going through another important turning point of my life at the moment," He continued.

The model and art collector concluded the note by expressing gratitude to his loyal supporters and said, "I look forward to the day when I’ll be able to come back as a man of inspiration in the near future. I’m utmost grateful for my fans. Once again, Thank you."

In February, YG Entertainment announced that the “Haru Haru” rapper had left the label after 16 years. T.O.P. told Prestige magazine in March that he is taking a break from Bigbang and will be focusing on his upcoming solo album which includes a feature film production with a global cast.

"From the beginning, I’ve always shared with my fans that I’m fully proud that I am T.O.P of BIGBANG, but in the last few years I was starting to think that maybe this was the end, and maybe there won’t be T.O.P of BIGBANG for a while," he told Prestige Magazine, adding, "BIGBANG is an idol artist group but I’m too old, and everyone’s old too!"

Despite this, the K-pop idol gave fans a glimmer of hope that he may reconnect with the boy band sometime in the future.

"Being super honest with the fans, I really don’t want to say this is my last," T.O.P. explained. "But even more frankly, it might be a long while until I come back as T.O.P of BIGBANG. Over those five years, our music tastes and activities probably differed a lot, and now BIGBANG music and T.O. P’s music are quite different. I’m at the stage in my life where I want to awaken to fresh new challenges, stimuli and transition."
