Bindi Irwin paid tribute to her dad with a heart-wrenching photo just says before announcing that she and her husband, Chandler Powell, were expecting their first child together.

Bindi, the daughter of the late conservationist and "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, shared on Instagram last week an artwork that showed her father being present during her wedding with Powell. The piece, created by digital artist Debb Oliver, also includes Bindi’s mother Terri, brother Robert and the family's two pups.

"'To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.' ― Thomas Campbell _ Thank you @themonkeybrush for creating this spectacular piece," the 22-year-old captioned the image.

Steve died in 2006 at the age of 44 while filming the series "Ocean's Deadliest." He was stung by a stingray and died due to excessive bleeding.

In March, Bindi said she lit a candle in her dad’s memory after she married Powell — just before Australia went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Mum helped me get ready, Robert walked me down the aisle, Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad’s memory,” she wrote in an Instagram post announcing their nuptials. "We shared tears and smiles and love."

Meanwhile, congratulatory messages have been pouring as soon as Bindi announced her pregnancy.

Bindi's mother, Terri, wrote on Twitter that she wished her late husband was around to witness the joyful occasion.

"Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart," she wrote. "While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud."

Fans agreed that Steve would have made a good grandparent.

"My gosh Steve would have been over the moon, just like with his own children, he would show the little one off to the world. The proudest grandparent ever!" Twitter user Kelly wrote.

"I can picture him doing exactly what he did with Bindi, running around with the baby and saying, "Look at this little beauty! Look at this little beauty," another commented.

"Dancing with the Stars'" Hayley Erbert also congratulated the couple, commenting on Bindi's post: "Oh my goodness Bindi! Congratulations!! So happy for the both of you! Sending you so much love."

"Can’t wait to meet this lil chipmunk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you both soooo much," Australian actress and global Wildlife Warriors ambassador Ellie Gonsalves wrote.

Bindi announced her pregnancy by posting a photo of her and Powell dressed in their Australia Zoo uniforms as they hold up a miniature version of their clothing.

"Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021," the mom-to-be wrote on Instagram. "Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you."

Bindi revealed that she was still in her first trimester but wanted her fans to be a part of the journey from the beginning.

“We couldn't wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us,” she shared.

Powell also shared the good news on his Instagram account, saying that becoming a dad was the highlight of his life.

"I cannot wait to embark on this new adventure and life chapter with my gorgeous wife, @bindisueirwin. Bee, you’re going to be the most amazing mother," he wrote.

Irwin and Powell have been in a relationship since 2013 and got married in March. The wedding ceremony was an intimate affair held at Australia Zoo.
