Apple is one of the most desired tech products of the Black Friday 2015. Daniel Ives, an analyst from FBR Capital Markets, has stated that Apple Watch’s demand has increased during this Black Friday as Apple, Target and Best Buy retailers are offering the smartwatch with an attractive discount.

The Apple Watch Sport Edition is now available on Target with a price tag of $349. The retailer is offering a $100 gift card along with the smartwatch. On Best Buy, the price of the Apple Watch has been slashed to $249. B&H Photo Video is also offering the smartwatch with the same price tag. Retailers are selling the Apple Watch with different cases and bands.

According to the New York Post, during the second quarter of 2015, Apple had shipped 3.6 million Apple Watch units. Hence, analysts said that the Apple Watch could not clinch satisfactory sales result that iPhone or iPad could achieve. However, current sales progress of the Apple Watch shows that its demand has skyrocketed during the Black Friday 2015 sales.

Forbes has reported that, according to Target, the Apple Watch has been a strong seller during Black Friday. Even Best Buy has reported that Apple Watch has met with exceptional demand during the holiday.

According to market analysis conducted by Ives, only 6 million units of the Apple Watch were shipped by the California-based company. He added that since demand for the smartwatch has increased at Apple, Best Buy and Target stores, the tech giant could ship around 5 million to 6 million units of the device mainly for the December month.

Previous reports said that the Apple Watch met with lackluster sales mainly because of its hefty price tag. According to Ives, it was because of supply shortage that Apple Watch met with a sluggish start. Now that the demand for the smartwatch is increasing, its true popularity will be known only after the holiday season.
