Black Friday is always a time to look for big discounts on tech products each year, and the 2018 edition is no different.

Those looking to get a new smartphone will have some opportunities to get new — or almost new — phones at a solid bargain.

Get A Phone And A Big Gift Card With It

Multiple major retailers are packaging newer smartphones with gift cards worth hundreds of dollars instead of just discounting the phones. Target is advertising a deal where customers who buy certain iPhone, Samsung or Google phones will get Target gift cards upon activation. The outlet is offering gift cards worth $250 with the iPhone XS and XS Max, $300 with the Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note9, and $200 with the Google Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL.

Walmart has a similar deal in its Black Friday ad. The retail chain is offering a $300 gift card with the purchase of Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, S9, S9+ and Note9 phones. Similarly, Apple enthusiasts can get $300 in Walmart credit with the purchase of an iPhone XS, XS Max or XR. The gift card grows to $400 for those who buy an iPhone 8, 8+ or iPhone X.

Alternatively, Just Get A Phone For Cheaper Than Usual

Best Buy is taking a slightly different route by offering a number of discounted smartphones with activation, per USA Today. Fans of the iPhone can save up to $200 on an iPhone X or up to $150 on the XS, XS Max and XR upon activation.

Similarly, Best Buy is offering up to $300 in savings on Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note9 phones. Customers can shave as much as $200 off the price of a Google Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL. The discount grows to $400 on a Pixel 2 XL.

One of the more interesting deals at Best Buy is an unlocked 64 gigabyte Samsung Galaxy S9 for $520. Normally, it costs $200 more than that. Additionally, Best Buy has a number of prepaid phones for less than $100.
