Blake Lively is generally discreet about her private life, but the “Gossip Girl" actress dished details about her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, in the August 2014 issue of Vogue.

Lively, 26, who scored the magazine’s cover, her third in six years, opened up about everything from her marriage to Reynolds, their plans to start a family and even their near-disastrous nuptials in 2012.

Despite recent rumors of marital discord between Lively and her “R.I.P.D.” star beau, Lively's marriage doesn't seem to be fragile, judging from her comments about their work-life relationship. “He's a part of it because everything we do in life we do together,” Lively said of using Reynolds' experise in creating her lifestyle website Preserve, set to launch Wednesday.

According to Lively, the duo, who met on the set of the 2011 superhero film “The Green Lantern,” always have each other’s backs for their creative projects. “If I’m working on a movie, he helps me with my character, I do the same with him,” she said (via Us Weekly). “He’s a beautiful writer -- he’s written a lot of stuff for us. And he’s got a great barometer and he knows me, so he will tell me if it’s not as good as it can be."

But if the marriage is great, Lively claims their fall 2012 wedding at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, were far from flawless. “Our wedding was becoming a disaster,” Lively said of her big day, which was ultimately saved by Martha Stewart at the actress' personal request. “We didn't know what to do, so we called Martha! She said, 'Don't worry. I'll handle it.’”

Now almost two years into their marriage, tabloids have started buzzing about Lively and Reynolds alleged plans for a baby, a rumor which Lively did not outright deny. “He’s going to be a great father, and leader and patriarch,” Lively said of Reynolds. “The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he’s the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he’s become, and we get to grow from there.”

Reynolds was previously married to “Avengers” actress Scarlett Johansson. After three years together, the couple announced their separation in 2010.

Lively’s latest film project, “The Age of Adaline,” hits theaters in 2015.

Reynolds has two films in the lineup for 2015, the Anna Boden/Ryan Fleck poker drama “Mississippi Grind” and the sci-fi thriller “Selfless.” He is currently based in Culver City, California, filming the Simon Curtis drama “Woman in Gold.”
