  • Shelton and Stefani got engaged in October after five years of dating

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got engaged in October, but a report said it won’t be a long engagement as the couple is ready to tie the knot.

Shelton popped the question to his girlfriend of five years in his Tishomingo, Oklahoma ranch two months ago. While only a few details managed to trickle down about their wedding, an unnamed source told People that fans of the pair may not have to wait long for their wedding photos.

"This won't be a long engagement. There is a reason why Blake proposed now. They are both ready to get married," the insider shared.

Despite being well-known personalities, Stefani and Shelton "don’t want a huge wedding" and are just looking to have their “family and close friends to attend and that's it," the source said.

Prior to this report, Us Weekly reported that they will get married in a chapel on Shelton’s ranch. A source told the outlet that the chapel was built by the country singer himself.

“He did it himself with help. It is really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year,” the source added.

Shelton and Stefani announced their engagement on social media with a sweet photo of them sharing a sweet kiss and the No Doubt singer flaunting her ring. The couple first met in 2015 on the set of “The Voice,” where they served as coaches.

“Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!” Shelton captioned the photo.

Shelton went the traditional route and asked Stefani’s father for his blessing first before proposing to his girlfriend, reports said. The country singer also got permission from her sons with ex Gavin Rossdale before he popped the question.

“Blake told her boys that he wanted to propose and asked their permission. Her family very much approves of him. He's an amazing partner and a great extra dad to the boys. Gwen is ecstatic. The proposal was a surprise," a source said.

As for the ring, Shelton gave Stefani a massive, custom-designed sparkler that experts have estimated to be priced at least $500,000.
