Blake Shelton gave a sweet shoutout to his fiancée, Gwen Stefani, when he received an award at the 2020 People’s Choice Awards Sunday.

The “Voice” coach took home the top country artist prize for the second year in a row, calling the experience “absolutely insane” in his acceptance speech. Shelton also talked about how happy he was that the awards show held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, pushed through despite the pandemic, E! News reported.

“Me and my team should be thanking all the fans out there who voted for this thing. And I don't spend a lot of time on social media anymore, but when I do look at it, all I see is fans retweeting and voting for—lately, for the People's Choice Awards. Thank you so much,” Shelton said.

Before leaving the stage, Shelton didn't forget to show some love to his partner, saying, “Thank you to my new fiancée, Gwen Stefani. That's S-t-e-f-a-n-i, if you need to Google it to figure out who she is. Thanks for the inspiration and I love you guys, thank you."

Stefani, meanwhile, revealed on Instagram Live that she was in the car outside the venue cheering him on after the award was announced.

After the ceremony, Shelton took to Twitter to express his gratitude to his fans once more, writing: “Y’ALL did this and this is for Y’ALL.. The best fans out there!”

The No Doubt lead vocalist and the country singer announced their engagement last month via Instagram. Shelton popped the question to Stefani in his home state of Oklahoma after dating for five years.

Unnamed sources claimed that Shelton went the traditional route, initially asking permission from Stefani’s father and her kids before proposing. The “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker shares three children, Zuma, Kingston and Apollo, with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

“Her family very much approves of him. He's an amazing partner and a great extra dad to the boys. Gwen is ecstatic. The proposal was a surprise,” one insider shared.

Moreover, Shelton added a personal touch to the engagement ring as he reportedly opted to have it custom-designed. Stefani’s sparkler may have set the country singer back $500,000, experts revealed.

“Gwen’s ring appears to feature a classic, six-prong setting with a 6-9 carat solitaire diamond set on a white gold or platinum band,” Brilliant Earth’s Kathryn Money explained to Page Six.

However, others estimated Stefani's engagement ring to be north of half a million dollars.
