Blake Shelton was victorious in two different categories at the 43rd annual People’s Choice Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Wednesday, and he made sure to mention one person in particular in his acceptance speech. Shelton thanked girlfriend Gwen Stefani, who accompanied him to the event.

After thanking the fans and his management team, Shelton mentioned Stefani, whom he called “the hottest date here tonight.” Shelton and Stefani began publicly dating in November 2015 following Shelton’s divorce from fellow country singer Miranda Lambert.

Shelton performed “Every Time I Hear That Song” at the event. Immediately afterwards, he accepted the awards for favorite album and favorite male country artist.
