Despite several fans going teary-eyed over happy and close pictures of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, things seem to be turning sour as some fans suspect his dating Stefani may have been the reason he was not nominated for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards. This is the first time since 2008 that Shelton has not received a nomination for the award, according to the Inquisitr.

Fans were shocked that Shelton did not receive a nomination for the ACM Awards, despite his duet with Ashley Monroe, “Lonely Tonight,” receiving a Grammy nomination, the Inquisitr reported. Some fans even speculated that he did not receive a nomination because he started dating Stefani too quickly after breaking up with former wife Miranda Lambert. While Shelton was left out of the ACM, Lambert received three nominations.

While some of the fans let him know that they were disappointed about the ACM Awards snub, Shelton seemed to be alright about it.

Shelton and Stefani confirmed their relationship in November and have since been seen in several photos together. Lambert is dating musician Anderson East and recently posted a photo on her Instagram suggesting that she spent the weekend with him.
