Next week’s BlizzCon schedule is packed with expected announcements. This includes “Overwatch” updates, “Warcraft” updates, and eSports. Interestingly, the major Mythic stage is looking quite thin, with six 45 minutes slots marked with words ‘coming soon’ for Friday and Saturday. This triggered a lot of speculations from fans who believe that Blizzard could be reserving those slots for the announcement of some major titles, presumably “Diablo 4” and “Overwatch 2.”

The Mythic stage, at times, is used by Blizzard to host the gaming studio’s cosplay showcase, Q&A with the game developer, or update sessions for “Overwatch” and “Warcraft.” However, long periods of unconfirmed activities on the major arena after the opening ceremony are fishy enough for fans not to get too suspicious about it. This is adequate for Blizzard fans to put some weight on the most recent rumors.

One of the heavily speculated games that will be announced at this year’s BlizzCon is “Diablo 4.” For years, we have been hearing wild claims about Blizzard’s fourth installment to the popular “Diablo” franchise. Recently, a German site shared an art book that appeared to confirm the game’s announcement.

But, “Diablo 4” is not the only thing that Blizzard might have prepared for fans at this year’s BlizzCon. VG24/7 reports that another attempt at “Starcraft” FPS title was reportedly canned earlier, so Blizzard could work on another “Overwatch” title. The site would like to speculate that it could be “Overwatch 2” but admitted that it would be a stretch.

The most likely scenario would be an announcement of an “Overwatch” spin-off. But, we could not deny that there is always room for a surprise announcement. No one suspected “Overwatch” when it arrived in BlizzCon. Blizzard President J. Allen Brack earlier told Forbes that they are more games in development.

For now, these are mere speculations, and just like all other speculations, leaks, and rumors, please take this information with a hefty amount of salt. Gamers are excited to know if “Diablo 4” will be announced at BlizzCon 2019 or if Blizzard will announce another “Overwatch” spin-off. BlizzCon 2019 is happening next week. Expect to hear more speculations and leaks between now and the event date.
