He finally came clean and revealed that the baby he is trying to give Steffy to adopt is Hope’s daughter. Now, Reese will have to work extra hard to try and convince Flo to stay on board with his scheme by justifying his actions on the Wednesday, Jan. 23 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

When Flo (Katrina Bowden) pressed him for answers, Reese (Wayne Brady) finally admitted that he got the baby he’s trying to give up for adoption from the night when he was working as the only doctor on Catalina Island—and that he had switched the stillborn baby another woman gave birth to with the little girl Hope (Annika Noelle) had delivered on the CBS soap. Knowing that he told another woman her baby was dead is likely making Flo uneasy-meaning Reese will have to do whatever it takes to keep her on board with the plan to give Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) the baby.

“Reese justifies his scheme to Flo, urging her to stay on board with his plan,” spoilers reveal.

In order to keep her from bailing, or worse, revealing the truth to Steffy and Taylor (Hunter Tylo) before the adoption can go through, Reese will likely reveal why he has done what he did. He will admit that if he doesn’t pay off the goons he owes money to, then they will murder his own daughter, Zoe (Kiara Barnes), and if Steffy takes the baby, then he can get the money he needs. However, he will need her to keep playing her role, where she pretends to be the baby’s mother seeking to give it up for adoption, in order for the plan to be a success.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
