  • Cam F. Awesome praises Jake Paul for his distinct way to sell his fights
  • Awesome thinks Tommy Fury will not be the next opponent of Paul
  • Fury is expected to pursue a fight with Paul in 2022

With Jake Paul winning yet another boxing match, the next question in the minds of many is who the 24-year-old internet sensation will face next.

One name that comes to mind is Tommy Fury.

Three-time Golden Gloves winner Cam F. Awesome shared his thoughts on Fury on the Baby Dynamite Sports podcast hosted by Rica Aquino alongside Filipino journalists Brian Yalung and Vincent Juico.

“No offense to Tommy Fury, but if Tommy Fury was an only child, would you know who he was? That’s the answer to that. Again he (Jake Paul) is picking a fighter with a good name but no boxing,” Awesome stated.

Furthermore, the 34-year-old boxer-turned-actor could not hide being impressed with Paul and hailed him for his efforts in marketing himself.

“Everyone got mad at Floyd Mayweather for choosing his fights and they say he chose his fights? That’s part of the game. If they have that leverage, use it,” Awesome said.

There is no telling who Paul may fight in 2022, and Fury is still adamant to get a chance at sharing the ring with the YouTube star.

Fury was forced to withdraw from his fight with Paul due to a chest infection and a broken rib.

On The Unibet Lowdown, Fury aired his displeasure over Paul's latest outing--a rematch versus former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

"I do believe my time will come," Fury expressed. "Me, Frank [Warren], we're trying to figure out the next date. We're trying to get that fight rescheduled because that's the fight I want next."

"It was very upsetting for me to sit there and watch it. I know if I'd been in there, he wouldn't have been going six, seven rounds, or whatever it was."
