Brody Jenner is holding nothing back when it comes to his relationship with his father, Caitlyn Jenner. In the latest episode of "The Hills: New Beginnings," the 35-year-old opened up about his feelings surrounding Caitlyn's absence at his wedding to model Kaitlynn Carter.

"Not having my dad at the wedding was, it was a bummer," Brody admitted during a dinner with Carter, his brother, Brandon Jenner and their mother, Linda Thompson. “Honestly, it really did hurt, and I would have loved to have had her there. But she had better things to do. Apparently.”

Carter gave a bit more detail on the situation and told audiences, "Brody's dad canceled on coming to the wedding like a week before."

"Brody really just kind of brushed it off but he has to have felt something," the 30-year-old added. "But he doesn't express it."

Brody and Carter said their vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family in Sumba, Indonesia on June 2, 2018. However, while Brody's Olympic medal-winning father was not present, it doesn't necessarily mean she didn't want to be there.

Last May, before the wedding, a source confirmed to People that Caitlyn had "work commitments" that had been "set up for months and couldn’t be changed in the end.”

Whatever the case, this wasn't the first time the reality star opened up about being let down by his parent. In an earlier episode of the MTV show, Brody shared what it was like growing up with Caitlyn, then known as Bruce Jenner, as a father.

“I didn’t really grow up with my dad," he explained. "I didn’t really see much of him.”

"The Hills: New Beginnings" airs Mondays at 10 pm ET on MTV.
