The FDNY is investigating a Brooklyn apartment building that one person and injured to others early Thursday.

Around 4:30 p.m., firefighters were called to 251 Albany Avenue in Crown Heights, battling a blaze in a three-story building. They managed to save six people from the building. However, fire officials say it was difficult to for them to reach the survivors.

Fire officials say it was very difficult to to send firefighters in the building. The stairways were narrow and they could only send one firefighter at a time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
