Hallmark Channel’s newest Spring Fever premiere, “A Brush with Love,” is Arielle Kebbel’s first Hallmark movie since 2015’s “Bridal Wave” with Andrew Walker. It also marks star Nick Bateman’s network debut.

Although the flick, which airs Saturday night, will be Bateman’s first one with Hallmark, he does have a bit of rom-com experience under his belt. The Instagram influencer starred in PassionFlix’s adaptation of Rachel Van Dyken’s romance novel, “The Matchmaker’s Playbook,” last year, and he was in UP’s 2017 movie, “Winter Wedding,” with Andrea Bowen.

So, what is Kebbel’s first Hallmark movie in four years and Bateman’s first one ever actually about? Let’s take a look.

“Jamie Spellman (Kebbel) struggles to balance her dream of painting with the reality of such a difficult career choice, but plans to expand her kids’ art school with the help of her dad,” according to the synopsis. “When she is selected to exhibit in a big art festival, however, her desire to paint is reawakened.”

The synopsis continues: “Her dream of finding the perfect man is also about to become a reality, when Jamie is courted by a handsome businessman, and must choose between him and Max Hughes (Bateman), her best friend’s annoying brother who is all grown up now and professes his heretofore unspoken and abiding love for her.”

“A Brush with Love” was directed by Peter DeLuise and written by Joie Botkin, Katherine S. Chang and Robin Karfo. The cast also includes Matthew Dowden (Michael Herman), Hilary Jardine (Ava Hughes), Adil Zaidi (Tom), Daryl Shuttleworth (David Spellman), Kathleen Duborg (Debbie Spellman), Brenda M. Crichlow (Renee) and Nyla Alleyne (Lizzy).

Check out “A Brush with Love” when it premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday at 8 p.m. EDT.
