BTS' latest English-language track "Butter" has broken a total of five records across YouTube and Spotify.

Aside from breaking the record for the most viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube, the new BTS song also got the most viewers for the premiere of a music video on the same platform, according to Guinness World Records.

"Dynamite," a track BTS released in 2020, previously held the record, which had gathered 3 million concurrent peak viewers. "Butter," on the other hand, effortlessly garnered 3.9 million concurrent viewers on its premiere.

The latest BTS track also broke the record for the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours after getting more than 108.2 million views during its first day. The number also made it the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.

BTS dropped the official music video of "Butter" on May 21, and it instantly became the No. 1 trending clip for music. As of writing, the MV has already had more than 214.7 million views, 15 million likes and 6.4 million comments.

"Butter" also had more than 11 million global streams in one day after its Spotify release. It broke the record for the most-streamed song on Spotify in the first 24 hours, which was previously held by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's "I Don't Care."

In April, it was revealed that BTS' songs had been streamed more than 16.3 billion times on Spotify, making the K-pop supergroup the most-streamed act on the popular music streaming platform. "Boy with Luv" and "Dynamite" are the band's most-streamed tracks with more than 642.6 million and 829.7 million streams, respectively.

Meanwhile, BTS won multiple awards at the recently concluded 2021 Billboard Music Awards. The septet nabbed dominated a total of four categories, including the fan-voted Top Social Artist, Top Song Sales Artist and Top Duo/Group.

"Dynamite" was also proclaimed as the top-selling song, beating "Savage" by Meghan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé, "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd, "WAP" by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion and "I Hope" by Gabby Barrett and Charlie Puth.

Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, RM and V gave the debut television performance of "Butter" during the show as well.
