BTS’ online concert “Permission to Dance on Stage,” which was held Sunday, was another historic moment for the boyband. Unfortunately, one of its members, V, had to perform from a chair due to a leg injury.

Kim Taehyung, more commonly known as V, was present at the concert, which was streamed via Venewlive. However, he remained seated throughout the show.

Prior to the concert, BigHit Music, BTS’ music label, announced that V experienced pain in his calf muscle, which is located at the back of the lower leg, during rehearsals. While he was not confined in a hospital, he was asked by his attending physicians to refrain from vigorous movements to avoid aggravating the injury.

“V experienced pain in his calf muscles during rehearsal on the evening of October 23, and visited a nearby hospital for examination and treatment. It was the opinion of the medical personnel that while there was no issue affecting the bones in his legs, he should refrain from vigorous movements such as choreography or stage performance for the time being,” a part of the announcement from BigHit Music read as per Army Magazine's tweet.

Supporters took to Twitter to express support for the injured BTS member.

A fan wrote, “taehyung must’ve been so excited for concert, he’s so strong I hope he feels better soon. @GetBetterSoonTae.”

Another ARMY wished the beloved BTS member well and asked him to take care of himself.

“Permission to Dance on Stage” opened with RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, Jimin and Jungkook entering the stage of Seoul’s Olympic Stadium amid virtual cheers. The group then performed its first song, “ON.” V sang with them while sitting in a chair.

Fireworks soared through the sky as the group performed its hits before empty seats in the humongous venue, as seen in the photos tweeted by KpopHerald.

“One last official picture of @BTS_twt concert from @BIGHIT_MUSIC showing the Olympic Stadium with the stage lit up, yet the seats empty. Hope to see this place packed with ARMYs from around the world next time. #PTD_ON_STAGE #ARMY,” it wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, another fan shared a clip showing the K-pop sensation singing right in front of the selfie cam while performing “Burning Up (Fire).” V is then shown in the clip singing from his seat.

The concert lasted more than 200 minutes, with the boys changing into various outfits, including a black ensemble for the song “Black Swan.” Feathers were also thrown in the air during this performance, according to PinkVilla.

The septet also jammed to their other hits, including, “Dope,” “DNA,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” “Fake Love,” “Life Goes On,” ”Boy With Luv” and of course, their chart-topping singles, “Dynamite” and “Butter.”
