South Korean boy band BTS might be the most famous K-Pop group in the world today, but the members had an extremely humble beginning and once played the role of backup dancers prior to their official debut.

The K-pop sensation BTS once used to be backup dancers for a hologram singer. The members Suga, Jimin, J-hope, and Jungkook performed as backup dancers for their former labelmate GLAM’s song titled "Glamorous," which featured the Vocaloid singer SeeU.

The hologram character SeeU was a fictional character who was voiced by Dahee, a member of GLAM.

The four members were a part of SeeU and GLAM’s first-ever live performance which took place on July 22, 2012, approximately a year before BTS made its official debut under Big Hit Entertainment on June 13, 2013.

The incident recently came to light after a Korean netizen took to social media to ask the fans, especially the ARMY, if they were familiar with one particular image of their performance as backup dancers.

Following this, an old clip of the BTS members resurfaced online, leaving fans surprised as many of them had no idea that the global sensation that has now taken over the world used to work as backup dancers for a hologram singer as well.

Here's what the fans had to say in response to the clip that resurfaced online:

"So, this is predebut Bangtan. They've come so far."

"I never expected Suga being backup dancer. BTS always have me shook."

"Who would have known the background dancers will be legends three years later."

"I remember watching this and liked the backup dancers, now a lot of years later I found out that it was BTS. The world is tiny."

"I literally can’t believe this is real."

BTS's journey to success has been nothing but easy as the members did not receive much attention from the public when they debuted as Big Hit Entertainment was not a well-known agency at the time. However, it never stopped the members from sharing their passion with the world. Their effort, talent, and perseverance have certainly paid off as BTS is now one of the most popular music sensations in the world with an estimated net worth of over $60 million.
