Pikachu-themed weddings arrive in Japan! People often describe the day of their wedding as one of the most important days of their lives, so what could make the event even more special and memorable than a Pikachu with a veil and a top hat? In Japan, ESCRIT, a company specializing in wedding ceremonies, has joined forces with the Pokémon Company to offer official weddings based on the popular video game. Guests at a Pokémon wedding can expect to see the happy couple accompanied by two giant Pikachus – one male and one female. Not only that, people will get to try some Pokémon-inspired wedding food, including some extravagant deserts. There is also, most importantly, a Pokémon wedding cake. It’s decorated with Pokéball macaroons and even more images of Pikachu. They’ve even decorated the wedding certificates with Pokémon! Unfortunately, for now, these are a Japan exclusive phenomenon, but perhaps maybe in the future we’ll see more Pokémon themed weddings across the world. Created in 1996, the franchise has amassed a devoted following of trainers looking to catch ‘em all. In the years since, Pokémon has developed into a cultural phenomenon, which has trickled over into merchandise, movies, and now additional ceremonies.

The Japanese event company ESCRIT, which specializes in weddings, has teamed up with the Pokémon Company to offer official weddings that are directly based off of the wildly popular video game. Guests at these special events have a host of exciting things to look forward to, including a Pokémon-inspired wedding cake that is said to be accompanied by Pikachu decorations. There are also themed macaroons and bowls of custard to enjoy.

In addition, there’s an official marriage certificate to mark the momentous occasion. These appropriately-decorated documents are an official way to show that you are the best like no one ever was. The package is said to also include place cards, pamphlets, and much more.

Unfortunately, these events are only offered in Japan as of right now, but if you’re looking to incorporate a little Pokémon power into your upcoming engagement, you may want to consider purchasing a luxury ring from U-Treasure.
