Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are real couple goals. Although the couple has been literally joined at the hip ever since they began dating in 2019, Cabello has revealed why she doesn't see Mendes as her Prince Charming, at least in reel-life.

Cabello is all set to make her acting debut with "Cinderella" and while talking to Entertainment Tonight, the “Liar” singer said she's happy that Mendes is only her real-life Prince Charming because otherwise it “would’ve been weird.”

During one of her recent interviews with Entertainment Tonight, the “Havana” singer talked about her “guy” and how he was with her during one of the Zoom screenings with director Kay Cannon.

"We watched it while Kay was on Zoom and it was, like, the first time I saw the movie and Shawn was there," Cabello confirmed while speaking with ET's Lauren Zima. "And it was just so funny."

"He's my guy," she gushed speaking about Mendes. "I love that guy."

On being asked about her feelings if Mendes played the role of Prince Charming in the movie, which is being played by Nicholas Galitzine, she said "It would've been weird [if he played the prince] because he's my boyfriend IRL."

"[But] he's the best and I think we are really supportive of each other and always want to see each other," Cabello noted.

During the filming, the 23-year-old singer surprised Cabello by visiting her on the set. "He surprised me the week of the ball and he saw me do one of the scenes," she recalled. "So he was there for the whole beginning of it and was so supportive. I'm lucky I have some awesome people in my life."

Talking about the movie and her experience on set, the “Senorita” singer said, "It was really fun, and obviously Kay has so much experience... and I am learning so much in the process."

"She would always say, 'Jokes and songs, jokes and songs,' just to remind us that it's just being [silly] and singing," Mendes added.

Canon has given a modern twist to the age-old tale of “Cinderella” where fans will get to see a new side of not just the character but also Cabello. This time around, Cinderella is not looking for a prince charming to come and rescue her. In fact, she has entrepreneurial dreams. As for Cabello, this is not only her acting debut, but she will also be showing off her comedic chops in this movie.

"Cinderella" is slated for Sept. 3 release on Amazon Prime Video.
