AmazonFresh is a good way for busy people to get groceries delivered straight to their homes, but the reviews for the service aren’t so great, BuzzFeed first reported.

AmazonFresh was launched a decade ago and costs Prime members an extra $14.99 per month. With AmazonFresh, users can view and purchase groceries online and have them delivered to their door. The service delivers items from meat and seafood, fruits and vegetables, as well as pantry and cleaning products.

However, AmazonFresh currently has a 3.3 rating out of 5 stars, and the written reviews are not good.

AmazonFresh Reviews

One user complained about receiving “moldy strawberries” and “broken eggs.”

“So far, we have received three Amazon Fresh deliveries and here is what we've received. Numerous broken eggs, poor produce, ruined moldy strawberries and ground beef that is one day away from expiring. The highlights are the wholefoods brand dry items and frozen meats and fish. The negatives outweigh the positives at the moment, and I really hope they get this straightened out - so far no delivery has been a representation of what's in the wholefoods store.”

Another user was unhappy with the packaging, especially since there was an extra $10 delivery fee.

“I ordered a handful of items, mostly leafy greens, that could have easily fit into one tote. My delivery came and I was completely overwhelmed: every item came in its own bag, with like 10 ice packs, inside of a tote bag with insulation packages. I had easily 100 ice packs I had no idea what to do with, and all of these totes that wont break down. One cardboard bag had addittional cardboard packaging inside and it housed 1 cucumber. It was so over the top and a complete waste of resources. All of the work that went into unpacking and figuring out what to do with the packaging, I should have just went to the store.”

Meanwhile, other customers were more than happy with the service.

“Omg! You have got to try AmazonFresh ! Today will be my 3rd order and the service is awesome! Prices are very reasonable especially the organic foods. I placed my order before bed and woke up to it on my doorstep! No fighting crowds/Just fresh food delivered while I slept! Now I can enjoy my Saturday doing the things I enjoy! THANKS AMAZON!!”

Another user said:

“I've been using Amazon Fresh for almost a year and a half now. Love it. This app just makes something easy just that much more easier.”

Overall, 29 percent AmazonFresh’s reviews are positive, while 28 percent have a one star rating, 14 percent have a two stars and 16 percent have three stars.

"We continue listening to all feedback in order to bring customers the best possible experience when shopping AmazonFresh," Amazon spokesperson told BuzzFeed. International Business Times has reached out to Amazon for comment.

The negative reviews come after Amazon bought Whole Foods Market this year for $13.7 billion. Around the time the acquisition was announced, a survey conducted by Morning Consult found Americans were skeptical about purchasing their groceries online, with younger people more likely to do so. U.S. consumers said they were more likely to buy some products, like canned goods online, instead of more perishable items, such as fresh meat. The survey found 68 percent of Americans said they were not likely to have meat products delivered to them, while 66 percent of people said they would not get dairy items shipped to them, and 63 percent said the same about fresh fruits and vegetables.
