The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Carolina Panthers as underdogs in Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season. Jameis Winston and Co. can pull off another upset over their NFC South rivals, this time in another country.

Carolina is a two-point favorite over Tampa Bay in their Week 6 meeting in London, according to the latest betting line at OddsShark. Sunday’s over/under is 48.

A lot has changed for the Panthers since they were beaten at home 20-14 by the Bucs on “Thursday Night Football” a month ago. A hobbled Cam Newton was under center in that contest, completing fewer than 50 percent of his 51 pass attempts and totaling no rushing yards. A key fourth-down stop by the goal line late in regulation propelled Tampa Bay to what was their first victory of the year.

Kyle Allen has since taken over as Carolina’s starting quarterback, leading the team on a three-game winning streak. Tampa Bay is 1-2 during that stretch, picking up an impressive road win against the Los Angeles Rams in between losses to the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants.

The Buccaneers defeated the Panthers when they had their worst quarterback play of the season and their running game was at its least effective. With Newton unable to run or be an accurate passer, Christian McCaffrey posted season-lows of 37 rushing yards and two receptions for 16 yards.

It’s unlikely that Carolina’s offense will struggle in the same way across the pond. McCaffrey has been the NFL’s most dynamic playmaker, leading the league in both rushing yards and yards from scrimmage. The third-year player has averaged 203 combined rushing and receiving yards in games against teams other than Tampa Bay.

Allen stunned the Arizona Cardinals when he replaced Newton in Week 3, throwing four touchdown passes with no interceptions for a 144.4 passer rating. The undrafted quarterback has completed two-thirds of his passes. Allen still hasn’t been picked off.

Jameis Winston might be playing some of the best football of his career. The former No.1 overall draft pick has put together a string of four straight games with a triple-digit passer rating. He’s thrown just two interceptions during that span.

The Buccaneers came up with big stops when they needed them in Carolina a few weeks ago. They might be able to do the same in London.

Credit must be given to Tampa Bay for containing McCaffrey in their first meeting. The Bucs are allowing a league-low 3.1 yards per carry. Alvin Kamara only had 16 rushes for 62 yards against the Saints in Week 5. Tampa Bay dared Teddy Bridgewater to beat them, and he did, with 314 yards and four touchdown passes.

Allen has played two mediocre games since his first start, failing to post a 90.0 passer rating or 250 yards in either contest. The Bucs have held opposing quarterbacks to a 91.9 passer rating.

The Panthers have escaped with wins in Week 4 and Week 5. They might not be so lucky for a third straight game.

Prediction: Tampa Bay over Carolina, 27-24
