It isn’t Thanksgiving time if you haven’t yet watched “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” Luckily, ABC makes it easy for people to do just that by airing the special each year right around the holiday.

The network normally airs the holiday special the day before Thanksgiving, and this year is no different. It will be broadcast Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Originally, the family cartoon premiered on CBS on Nov. 20, 1973 before moving to ABC in 2001, where it currently airs. The entire Peanuts specials catalog, including “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” which came out in 1965, and “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” which came out in 1966, moved to ABC the same year.

The classic Thanksgiving Peanuts animation is a half-hour special that follows Charlie Brown as he aims to create a perfect holiday event for his gang of friends. The dinner doesn’t go as planned, though. Snoopy and Woodstock are the ones catering the occasion, and they make toast and popcorn as the main meal, which is not at all what Charlie Brown and his friends had in mind. Marcie jumps in too help turn it all around and fix it for Charlie Brown so that they can all have a nice holiday meal together.

The cast includes Todd Barbee as Charlie Brown, Robin Kohn as Lucy, Stephen Shea as Linus, Hilary Momberger as Sally, Kip DeFaria as Peppermint Patty, Jimmy Ahrens as Marcie and Robin Reed as Franklin.

Following the airing of this special on Wednesday, a bonus cartoon, “This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers,” will air. The program takes place in 1620 and follows along as the Mayflower’s voyagers, including Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew, arrive at America’s shores and experience the first Thanksgiving.

If you miss the special’s showing on ABC on Wednesday, there are still a few different ways to watch it. It will be available to stream on ABC.com and the ABC app the day after it airs, making it the perfect program to watch with your family on Thanksgiving day.
