Chick-fil-A adding a fan-favorite to its menu for a limited with the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich.

The sandwich became available at participating restaurants nationwide on Monday.

The Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich is made with marinated grilled chicken and bacon that is hand-tossed in a brown sugar and pepper blend that is topped with Smokehouse BBQ sauce on top of a toasted bun. It also includes Colby-Jack cheese and lettuce.

The last time the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich was available at Chick-fil-A restaurants was back in 2019, where the most sandwiches ordered that year was in Bangor, Maine, the chicken chain said.

Chick-fil-A is not the only restaurant adding more items to its menu as its rival McDonald’s began offering the Shamrock Shake again on Monday for a limited time.

The Shamrock Shake is made with vanilla soft serve blended with McDonald’s Shamrock Shake flavor and finished with whipped topping.

Also debuting at McDonald’s on Monday is the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, which features vanilla soft serve with Shamrock Shake flavor and Oreo cookie pieces.

While Chick-fil-A and McDonald’s are adding to their menus, Burger King is removing items from its menu. The burger chain is eliminating sundaes, whipped toppings, and chocolate milk, and will remove the Whopper from its discount menu, Reuters reported.

The decision to remove the menu items by Burger King is part of an effort to speed up its drive-thrus and help with the costs of higher worker wages and increased goods expenses, according to Business Insider.
