Just a few months after announcing their engagement, Lady Gaga and Chrstian Carino have reportedly split, sources claimed. The couple is said to be finalizing their split amid rumors about the singer getting close to her “A Star Is Born” co-star and director, Bradley Cooper.

Speculation about the split started when Lady Gaga didn’t wear her engagement ring at the 2019 Grammy Awards. She also didn’t mention her fiancé’s name during her acceptance speech.

But a source told E! News that the singer simply didn’t wear the ring because she was performing. Lady Gaga and Carino were supposed to get married soon, but the same source revealed that they put it on hold because of the singer’s busy schedule. The insider, however, insisted that Gaga and Carino are still together and will get married later this year.

Another source, however, has claimed that Gaga and her fiancé have indeed split. And Carino is reportedly “desperately” trying to win her back, according to this source.

But why would Gaga and Carino, who have been loved-up all throughout this year's awards circuit, split up? Some fans believe that the singer has fallen for “A Star is Born” director Cooper, whom she has gotten close to. According to a report by Cosmopolitan, some fans have speculated that the relationship between the singer and director is more than just friendship.

One moment that added fuel to the fire was Cooper's performance with Gaga at her Las Vegas residency. The chemistry between the two during that performance had many fans believing that they may be more than just friends.

To top it all off, Gaga recently got a tattoo on her back that has an “A Star Is Born” connection. In the picture of the tattoo the singer shared on Instagram are the words “la vie en rose.” This is actually the French song that Cooper saw Gaga perform in 2016 and led to the singer being cast in the movie. Her character in the film also sang this same song.
