“Flip or Flop” star Christina El Moussa removed her wedding ring when she went shopping at a local mall in Yorba Linda, California, Tuesday. It was the first time Christina was photographed since confirming her split from Tarek, her husband of 7 years.

Christina, 33, dressed down for the occasion. She wore leggings, sandals and a shirt that said, “Pink champagne can’t complain.” The HGTV star also carried a brown Louis Vuitton bag that didn’t match. She hid her eyes from paparazzi behind oversized sunglasses.

Photos of her were posted by Us Weekly and Radar Online the day after Christina's split was announced.

The couple did not state they would divorce in their official statement. The El Moussas want to co-parent their children, 6-year-old daughter Taylor and 15-month-old son Brayden.

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” their Monday announcement read. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed. We chose to get counseling to sort out our relationship. Together, we have decided to separate while we reevaluate the future of our marriage. During this process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be.”

For now, “Flip or Flop” has not been canceled. “We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together,” the El Moussas added.

HGTV confirmed they did not cancel the series. “We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina's great work on ‘Flip or Flop,’” the network said in an official statement Monday. “When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of ‘Flip or Flop’ and the series will continue production as scheduled.”

“Flip of Flop” airs on HGTV Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST.
