While the NBA remains suspended, Denver Nuggets starting guard Jamal Murray still managed to make the news online. He claims he was a subject of hacking that leaked his intimate videos across the Internet. His NSFW video was posted along with obscure and cryptic posts that followed.

The online community poked fun of the situation, as it remains to be a hot topic of jokes, memes, and snarky side comments. This didn’t escape his peers also from the NBA as CJ McCollum casually mentioned him and referenced his video in a recent NBA live stream.

The NBA’s official Instagram managed by Portland Trailblazer star Damian Lillard took control of the account. He went live and talked about recent life in quarantine and social distancing while conversing with the fans. The show took a turn when he put on McCollum was on the other line of the stream. While the two discussed how things were in the time of the suspension, Portland’s duo had a laugh when McCollum brought up comments thrown at him.

He mentioned that fans likened his beard and Kevin Durant’s head to Murray. Lillard in disbelief had to shake his head and laugh at the very thought of his partner's tactlessness. “This is why you can’t have CJ on live,” the All-Star exclaimed.

Fans took notice of the light moment and shared their thoughts on McCollum and Lillard.

Even fellow NBA players had to chime in on the light moment. Donovan Mitchell found McCollum hilarious.

To which McCollum responded by wishing him and his family well.

Washington Wizards sharpshooter Bradley Beal added that McCollum had no chill with how he just threw in those comments so casually.

McCollum responded to those thoughts by tweeting that these are the moments that are meant to have fun with. “Sometime you just gotta laugh at life,” he said. “Even when it’s ya homies.”

McCollum is a big piece to the Trailblazer’s starting lineup, as he’s one of the team’s leading scorers. He is currently averaging 22.5 points per outing.
