Fans were given a taste of football last week when four regular-season games were on the schedule. The 2018 College Football season truly begins this week when every team ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll is set to make their debut.

Week 1 kicks off Thursday night when No.21 UCF visits Connecticut. The Knights are favored by more than three touchdowns over their unranked opponent, but they aren’t close to being the biggest favorites of the week. Nearly half of the betting odds for the upcoming top-25 games feature point spreads of 21 points or more.

No.5 Ohio State is the week’s biggest favorite, even without head coach Urban Meyer on the sidelines, as they lay 37.5 points to Oregon State. Another Big Ten school, No.4 Wisconsin, is a 35.5-point favorite against Western Kentucky. The betting line for No.24 Oregon against Bowling Green is up to 31.5 points.

Four teams are bigger favorites than No.1 Alabama, who is giving 25 points to Louisville. There are no betting lines as of yet for No.2 Clemson and No.3 Georgia as they prepare to take on FCS opponents.

No.7 Oklahoma is favored by 21 points in their season opener. The Sooners are coming off a trip to the College Football Playoff.

Four games feature two ranked opponents. No.19 Florida State is the biggest favorite in those contests, as they host a conference rival that’s one spot behind them in the AP Top 25 Poll.
