Looks like Conor McGregor is one ultimate believer of US President Donald Trump after all as the UFC superstar called the POTUS a "Phenomenal President".

The Irish great seemed to be at so much high following his impressive win against Cowboy Cerrone on Saturday that he sent out a random post on his Twitter account expressing his admiration towards the chief executive of the United States.

"Phenomenal President. Quite possibly the USA (Greatest of All-Time)," McGregor said on the post.

"Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feat. Early stages of the term also. Incredible," he added. "Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day America."

Trump then responded with his own tweet Tuesday morning, "Congratulations on your big @UFC WIN!"

Conor McGregor made history in his UFC comeback by being the first fighter in the organization to have victories by way of KOs in three different weight classes. He stopped Donald Cerrone just 40 seconds into their clash that also earned him his first win after a 15-month fight hiatus.

This recent turn of events caught MMA fans quite befuddled as not a long time ago, McGregor was actually singing a different tune on the Trump subject.

In 2015, the Notorious came at the defense of Ronda Rousey whom the President called out for not engaging with Holly Holm.

In an article published on TMZ Sports, McGregor was quoted, "Donald can shut his big fat mouth. I don't give a f*ck about Donald Trump."
