KEY POINTS

  • Bitcoin, Ether rise
  • Top coins trade in green
  • Market cap goes up

A day after experiencing a slump, the cryptocurrency market turned green Tuesday as top coins gained with Cardano becoming the top mover.

The global market cap was up 3.16% at $1.91 trillion as of 2.40 a.m. ET, CoinMarketCap data showed.

Cardano rose 6.10%, becoming the top mover of the market. As per WazirX's daily analysis, this was because of the new network update Cardano went through.

"The transaction volume for Cardano(ADA) was 4X more than that of Bitcoin in the last 24 hours as Cardano completed its latest network update," the WazirX trade desk told International Business Times.

Bitcoin moved up 3.31% to$42,297. Ethereum too surged 4.19% to $2986.

About BTC, the Indian exchange noted that the top coin needs to break the key resistance level of $44.5K and continue its momentum above $50K for the start of a significant bull run in the crypto markets.

Barring a slight downward movement in Tether and Terra LUNA, all other top coins moved higher. Meme cryptos Shiba Inu and Dogecoin too surged.

In other news, tennis player Naomi Osaka has joined cryptocurrency exchange FTX as a brand ambassador, becoming one of the first major female professional athletes to partner with the firm. Osaka will also creatively direct and produce content alongside FTX. In addition, she will debut the FTX logo on her looks for the Miami Open.

The crypto market is extremely volatile and experts recommend investors not make decisions based on the sudden shift in prices.
