The crypto market opened on a bearish note Thursday with leading cryptocurrencies Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) down by 1.50% and 0.01%, respectively, in the last 24 hours.

According to the data from CoinMarketCap, the price of BTC and ETH tokens as of 12.18 a.m. ET was $20,046 and $1,600, respectively. The trading volume of the world's biggest cryptocurrency dropped 25.46% in the last 24 hours while that of ETH dropped 15.33%.

The data from Alternative.me stated that the crypto market sentiment was "fear" and the value of the Fear and Greed Index was 27. In the last seven days, BTC rose 4.15%, while ETH's price dropped 1.99%.

The other top 10 cryptocurrencies were in red, with Solana (SOL) down 1.53% to $33.10; Binance Coin (BNB) down 1.68% to $275.40; Cardano (ADA) down 0.96% to $0.4684; Dogecoin (DOGE) down 0.28% to $0.0604; and Ripple (XRP) down 0.01% to $0.3356.

The top losers in the crypto market included Polkadot (DOT), which was down 2.38% to $7.03; Polygon (MATIC), which was down 2.44% to $0.8408; Terra Classic (LUNC), which was down 21.70% to $0.0002687; and EOS (EOS), which was down 5.61% to $1.42.

The best performers in the crypto market included Zcash (ZEC), which was up 0.19% to $59.93; Gate Token (GT), which was up 2.36% to $4.27; Celsius Network (CEL), which was up 28.32% to $1.91; and Compound (COMP), which was up 5.73% to $55.79.

Moreover, metaverse token The Sandbox (SAND) was down 2.58% to $0.8697 and Decentraland (MANA) was down 2.61% to $0.7211 as of 12.20 a.m. ET.
