Dallas experienced a minor earthquake centered near Dallas Love Field early Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake occurred in Dallas at 12:11 a.m., registering a 2.0 magnitude, the USGS reported. The Dallas earthquake was centered off Northwest Highway, north of Dallas Love Field, and west of University Park in the area known as Preston Hollow.

The USGS said the earthquake occurred three miles beneath the surface.

Authorities said there have been no reports of damage. On Tuesday, a 2.8 magnitude earthquake shook an area roughly 10 miles north of Amarillo, Texas.

To feel an earthquake, it typically must register 2.5 magnitude or above. Also, the depth of the quake is a factor as the closer to the surface a quake occurs the more shake and therefore damage it provides to the surface.
