Nyle DiMarco may be deaf but the “America’s Next Top Model” winner didn’t let his loss of hearing prevent him for busting a move during the Season 22 premiere of “Dancing With the Stars.” The New York native rocked the ballroom — and our hearts — during his Week 1 performance to DNCE’s “Cake By the Ocean.” And apparently we weren’t the only ones left smitten with Peta Murgatroyd’s tall, dark and handsome partner!

“Shut up. Are you for real?” judge Bruno Tonioli said before jumping up out of his chair to see if Nyle wasn’t just a figment of his imagination. “He’s real! I’m telling you, you could be ‘America’s Next Top Dancer’!”

And Bruno’s fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba agreed.

“I have so many mixed emotions right now,” she began, revealing that when Nyle first stepped out onto the dance floor she was taken back by his beauty. But Carrie Ann quickly realized that Nyle wasn’t just eye candy. “Then I was like, wow … you’re actually in the pocket. You didn’t just have great rhythm, you were in the pocket of the rhythm!”

Nyle attributed his successful, Week 1 routine to his partner Peta. According to the deaf model, he was unable to hear or feel the rhythm of the music. So, in order to stay on time and in tune he had to rely on his partner’s movements.

“It’s actually Peta,” his interpreter said, “she’s dancing to the music. I actually follow her with my eyes.”

Nyle and his Peta earned a 23 out of 30 for their seriously steamy cha-cha, tying for the top score with Boyz II Men singer Wayna Morris and Lindsay Arnold.

Fans can catch Nyle and Peta redefine ballroom dancing on Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC during Season 22 of "Dancing With the Stars."
