- Continuing to hew to the conventional wisdom that the Republican road to the White House runs through Ohio, Mitt Romney will be campaigning in the Buckeye State today. His day begins with an 11 a.m. event in Cincinnati, followed by a 3:10 p.m. appearance in Worthington and a 7:35 p.m. stint in Defiance.

- Paul Ryan will be in Virginia, another state Team Romney has been making an all-out push for. He will be in Bristol at 12:30 p.m. and in Charlottesville at 6:45 p.m.

- The looming sequester's military cuts are a big issue in swing state Virginia -- Republican Senate candidate George Allen has made ending them a centerpiece of his campaign -- and Romney is working to tie Obama to the cuts, releasing a radio ad touting Romney's pledge (reiterated in the third presidential debate) to expand the Navy.

- Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock continues to weather an angry backlash from his comment suggesting pregnancies from rape are God's will. He was reportedly contrite and tearful at a meeting of the Hamilton County Republican Party; the Obama campaign, meanwhile, is looking to woo voters by tying Romney (who had just shot an endorsement for Mourdock) to the comments.
