They’ve learned that the island they’re on is a danger to them all. Now, after noticing that one of their own has gone missing, the group of Salem castaways will begin to worry about what happened to him on the Tuesday, June 5 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After the Titan jet crashed on the island on the way back from Greece, JJ (Casey Moss), Lani (Sal Stowers), Chad (Billy Flynn), Gabi (Camila Banus), Sonny (Freddie Smith), Paul (Christopher Sean) and Eli (Lamon Archey), all became stranded. Things initially seemed dire for them on the NBC soap because they had no means of communicating a message for help, but they were all somewhat more okay with their situation when they discovered clean water, fresh fish, and fruit that they could eat. However, the small things that gave them hope they wouldn’t die quickly faded as they learned more about the mysterious place they landed.

It all began after JJ and Lani found a human skull buried in the sand. Afterwards, they also found a journal left by someone else who had once been stranded there, where they learned that the mosquitos on the island weren't normal ones. Bites from those transfer the disease jungle madness, which can make a person go completely mad and change them completely. It’s a disease that JJ remembers hearing about it first-hand because of Peter Blake, who once contracted the disease and became a killer because of it.

What they don’t know however, is that Paul, who was previously missing, was already bitten by one of these mosquitos, and was already delirious. He also has a knife that he was using while preparing the fish, but if the disease is working through his body, it could make him a threat.

Now, when Eli goes missing, knowing everything they do, the rest of the castaways will begin to worry and panic. Not only are they concerned that he could have been bitten by a mosquito too, they also don’t know just what is going through Paul’s mind, since none of them saw him get bitten, and haven’t quite yet realized that he’s sick. If he also seems to go missing again, it could be a big problem for them all.

When Eli resurfaces, they will all breathe a sigh of relief, until they realize he was stabbed in the arm. Then, he might reveal to them something none of them could have prepared for. He was attacked, clearly, but they may all be stunned to learn that the one who actually attacked him was none other than Paul. Now, they will realize the danger Paul poses, and it could increase the threat they face as they wait to see if anyone will find them and rescue them. The longer they wait for help, the more dangerous a sick Paul could become.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
