She's been trying to figure out who was behind the drugs planted in JJ's apartment, which wound up costing him his job. Now, Jennifer will crack the case and confront the culprits on the Monday, July 30 episode of "Days of Our Lives."

JJ (Casey Moss) claimed during Theresa (Jen Lilley) and Brady's (Eric Martsolf) custody battle that the drugs a child services worker found in the house he shared with Theresa were his in an effort to help her case on the NBC soap. They didn't belong to him, however, and Theresa quickly figured out they were planted to try and hurt her chances. Since then, JJ was suspended from his job as an EMT, and his mother, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) has decided to find out who was behind the plot so he can be reinstated.

Thus far, her investigation has led her to suspect Victor (John Aniston) of being behind the scheme, but she has been unable to pinpoint who exactly his main accomplice was. She's been able to find all of the middlemen in the operation and determine what roles they played, but she needed proof that someone else was working with Victor. Now, after rethinking everyone who had a stake in the results of the custody hearing, she went to Victor's to confront him, where she ran into none other than Eve (Kassie DePaiva).

Now, Jennifer will likely do the math and finish putting together the pieces of the puzzle, realizing that Eve was behind the scandal. However, her plans to confront her longtime enemy may also not go as planned.

During the battle, as the past was brought up, including Deimos's murder, Brady confessed to his fiancée that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) had been the one to commit the crime, and he had used that to blackmail her into leaving town when she chose to be with Eric (Greg Vaughan) instead of him. Knowing that Eric never got real closure with the woman he loved before Jennifer, Eve will likely attempt to use that information against her by sharing that she could lose him. If it works, Jennifer may not share the truth about the planted drugs with Brady just yet, though it could also hurt the purpose of her entire investigation as well if she lets Eve talk her into keeping things quiet.

In addition, learning that Eric may not have a real reason to be over Nicole could also be damaging to the couple's relationship as they try to move forward.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
