Rafe and Eduardo on "Days of Our Lives"
Rafe (Galen Gering) is faced with a tough decision when he catches Eduardo (A. Martinez) doing something that appears to be illegal on the April 10, 2017 episode of “Days of Our Lives.” NBC

They believed they were going to finally take down Deimos, but Rafe and Hope were in for a major shock when the person they caught with allegedly stolen property was none other than Rafe’s father, Eduardo. Now, on the Monday, April 10 episode of “Days of Our Lives,” the police detective will be forced to make a tough decision about his father’s fate.

Rafe (Galen Gering) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) were using the bug she had planted at the Kiriakis mansion in an effort to finally take Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) down and end the war between Salem’s most prominent families once and for all. However, the tip they picked up from the bug seemed to suggest that Deimos was arranging to meet someone and exchange stolen property from a robbery. But, as Rafe and Hope prepared to make an arrest on the NBC soap, they were surprised by Rafe’s father, Eduardo (A. Martinez) arriving in the alley instead, looking for his contact.

Now, Rafe is stunned that his father appears to have been doing something illegal in order to get ahead in the war, and though doing so will greatly upset both him and his siblings, he will feel forced to take appropriate action and place his father under arrest. The move won’t only be one which upsets him and possibly hurts the relationship he finally had a chance to build with his father over the last year and a half, but will also infuriate his most unpredictable sibling, Dario (Jordi Villasousa), who will likely swear revenge on his father’s behalf.

What Hope and Rafe may realize quickly, even if they have to arrest Eduardo, is that they were set up by Deimos, who had vowed to take down all of his enemies, one at a time. Sure enough, Deimos had quickly caught on to Hope’s planted bug and used it against her to force Eduardo’s arrest. The move is one that not only eliminates one of his enemies and competitors, but also hurts others, including Kate (Lauren Koslow), who was set to finally work things out with Eduardo romantically. Now though, with his arrest, that will never have a chance to happen.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
