Demi Lovato has shared on Instagram a glimpse of her new music video "Dancing with the Devil," which recreated moments from her 2018’s overdose.

"#DancingWithTheDevil music video is out now," she captioned the post Thursday. "Thank you for listening, and thank you for hearing me. If you or someone you know is in need of support, please remember it’s ok to ask for help."

The music video is from her seventh studio album "Dancing with the Devil... the Art of Starting Over."

In the video posted on Instagram, Lovato revealed a tattoo on her neck that read “survivor” as she wiped off her neck with a sponge.

The 28-year-old singer had previously explained the importance of her neck area in a YouTube docuseries, which revolved around her struggle with drug addiction. The singer disclosed how she was admitted to the hospital and her blood was purified through her neck.

The music video, which premiered Thursday night, featured moments before and after the drug overdose.

The video captured the time when the singer first sipped wine that night and then continued to consume more alcohol and drugs. The music video also recreated the incident where the singer's drug dealer assaulted her.

"I was dancing with the devil / Out of control / Almost made it to heaven / It was closer than you know / Playing with the enemy / Gambling with my soul / It's so hard to say no / When you're dancing with the devil," Lovato sang in the video.

The music video has been directed by Michael D. Ratner and Lovato. It is produced by OBB Pictures and SB Films. Ratner also directed the singer's docuseries "Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil."

In the docuseries, the Disney star detailed her 2018's overdose and featured her friends and family to explain their version of the incident.

"I picked up a bottle of red wine [one] night, and it wasn't even 30 minutes before I called someone that had drugs on them," Lovato said. "I'm surprised that I didn't OD that night. I ended up at a party and ran into my old drug dealer from six years before. That night I did drugs I had never done before," the singer had said.
