Dove Cameron is off the market. The Disney star, best known for her role as Mal in “Descendants,” is engaged to her beau Ryan McCartan. The two lovebirds, who are also co-stars on Disney Channel’s “Liv and Maddie,” share the news of their engagement on Instagram.

McCartan, 22, made the announcement Thursday that Cameron, 20, said “Yes” when he popped the question. While his caption revealed they were taking the next step in their relationship, he didn’t post an image showing her ring. Instead, he shared a throwback photograph from when the pair attended the premiere of “Descendants” in Burbank, California, last July 24.

Dedicating my 1,000th post to my fiancée. I can't believe I get to call you that. Thanks for saying yes.

Cameron also chose not to flash her ring in her Instagram post. “Fiancée looks better on you,” she wrote in the caption of a photo of herself and McCartan on the beach.

The couple’s engagement came shortly after Cameron and McCartan, who also formed the musical group The Girl and the Dreamcatcher, released their music video for “Someone You Like.” The video of the sweet song that came out last year features a quick nod to their relationship around the 1:20 mark. In the right-hand corner viewers can see “DC <3 RM” doodled on a notebook.

Cameron and McCartan met on the set of “Liv and Maddie” and began dating in August 2013. McCartan opened up about their first date to J-14 magazine last May. He told the outlet that he took her out to dinner, followed by frozen yogurt and a trip to the Hollywood Hills to admire the lights.

“We were up there until 3 in the morning, just talking and looking at the lights,” McCartan said. “Then I took her home, and it was the most perfect, most romantic first date ever.”

Obviously, the two work well together. Besides playing together as The Girl and the Dreamcatcher and starring in “Liv and Maddie,” Cameron and McCartan also appeared in the television film “R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls.”
