KEY POINTS

  • Pulse Rifles excel in mid-range engagements
  • Pulse Rifles have remained very competitive in the current Crucible meta for Season 15
  • This weapon type hits hard and is very beginner-friendly

Pulse Rifles are loved by many “Destiny 2” players for their ability to lay down bursts of accurate fire that make them reliable from short to medium ranges. With the right stat rolls and perks, these weapons can be very effective against any target, from the most difficult of enemy mobs to the best Guardians in the Crucible.

For those who are looking for a reliable pulse rifle to use for their daily activities, here’s a list of the five best options that are currently obtainable in “Destiny 2.”

The Messenger

It’s hard to deny how strong The Messenger can be in the Crucible. This pulse rifle is now the only legendary gun in the game that can roll with Desperado, which increases its rate of fire after every precision kill.

The Messenger remains a force to be reckoned with even without Desperado. It can roll with the classic Outlaw/Kill Clip combo, which makes it great against virtually anything.

Darkest Before

It is amazing how a 540 RPM pulse rifle like the Darkest Before can thrive in a Crucible that’s dominated by hand cannons, shotguns and the occasional Multimach or Shayura’s Wrath.

This weapon can roll with a variety of perks that can make it very strong in both PvE and PvP such as Elemental Capacitor, Subsistence, Full Auto Trigger and Rampage. It also has one of the cleanest sights in the game and comes with a built-in target detector for easier identification.

No Time To Explain

No other exotic pulse rifle can unload bullets as much as No Time to Explain can. Apart from its ability to refund ammunition to the magazine upon precision hits, this gun comes with a built-in Full Auto Trigger System and the Time-Slip perk, which spawns a small portal that automatically fires at enemies like an Arc Soul.

The portal and passive ammo return make this great against large targets in PvE, while the full auto trigger enhances its usability in PvP.

Legal Action II

Many players are considering the Legal Action as this season’s Blast Furnace. This weapon hits very hard while remaining easy to control, which makes it a go-to for pulse rifle fans who prefer to keep their distance.

Legal Action can roll with Killing Wind, Moving Target and Rampage, which are all great for every game mode.

Hailing Confusion

This pulse rifle from “Beyond Light” can drop with insanely high Stability, making it incredibly easy to use in all game modes. Hailing Confusion can reach a Stability stat of 93 with Chambered Compensator, Ricochet Rounds and Elemental Capacitor. Should players want even more Stability, this gun can also roll with Zen Moment for those zero-recoil bursts.
