Benedict Cumberbatch now has a (cumber) batch of boys!

The “Doctor Strange” actor welcomed his second child, a son named Hal Auden Cumberbatch, on March 3. The Daily Mail first reported the news on Sunday which was officially confirmed by People on Monday. The 40-year-old actor and his 39-year-old wife welcomed their newest family member at Portland Hospital in London. Apparently, the couple have named their child after Shakespearean hero, Henry V, whose character’s nickname was Hal.

Baby Hal joins his elder brother, Christopher “Kit” Carlton, who was born in June 2015. The couple wed on Valentine’s Day in 2015.

Moreover, Sophie Hunter has officially changed her name to Sophie Cumberbatch.

News that Sophie was expecting her second child with the “Sherlock” actor became known during the Los Angeles premiere of “Doctor Strange” last year in October. The theatre director sported a visible baby bump.

The “Imitation Game” actor always wanted to be an excellent father by following the footsteps of his parents, Timothy Carlton and Wanda Ventham. He told People that his parents, both actors, are the first heroes he ever had in his life. “I can only hope to be half as good [a parent] as they were to me, to my children,” he said. “I have their example to follow so I’ll be doing something right if I am.”

Although Cumberbatch is the only child in his family (he has no siblings), the Oscar-nominee always wanted to be a part of a big family. Ever since welcoming his first son, the actor has been juggling his career and family life. The in-demand Marvel star has a hectic schedule and will now have to make more time so that he can spend it with the newest family member.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
