Dr. Strange is definitely in “Thor: Ragnarok,” but how many characters will he actually meet? The post-credits clip of “Doctor Strange” made it clear that Benedict Cumberbatch’s character will meet Thor, but Tom Hiddleston recently tried to dodge questions about Loki meeting the Sorcerer Supreme.

While speaking with MTV at the Golden Globes, where Hiddleston won best actor in a miniseries for his work on “The Night Manager,” the British actor was asked about a possible interaction between his villainous character and Dr. Strange. “I can’t spoil anything for you,” he said.

However, when pressed, he gave a tiny hint. “Let’s put it this way: Dr. Strange has kind of very intensely cerebral time bending powers,” he teased. “At the end of ‘Thor: The Dark World’ … Loki’s on the throne. What happened to Odin? So maybe Dr. Strange has to help out with that particular conundrum.”

That unfortunately isn’t really news. The post-credits clip of “Doctor Strange” indicated that the Sorcerer Supreme would help Thor (Chris Hemsworth) with his family drama. He wants the trickster off Earth as soon as possible, so he agrees to help find Odin (Anthony Hopins) to speed up the visit. Their meeting would seem inevitable, but Hiddleston wouldn’t confirm anything.

Many audience members very much want to see Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston on screen together, and it’s not just because of their Marvel characters. The two are very good friends and share many of the same fans. They worked together in the 2011 film “War Horse” and obviously kept in touch. The Loki actor even offered advice to Cumberbatch before he joined the MCU.

If they do share screen time, Loki and Dr. Strange might not be fighting each other. It seems Hela (Cate Blanchett) will be a much bigger threat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

“I haven’t played the bad guy for a while. I just finished ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ in which I play Loki again,” Hiddleston told reporters at the Golden Globes (via Variety). “But mercifully, the bad boy pants were passed onto Cate Blanchett this time around, who is playing the goddess of death which is significantly more bad than the god of mischief, I think.”

It seems fans will have to wait until “Thor: Ragnarok” hits theaters on Nov. 3 to find out if Cumberbatch and Hiddleston will be on the big screen together.
