Donald Trump was not a hands-on father, but he still believed that he was a great dad to all of his kids.

During his interview on “Opie and Anthony” in 2005, host Anthony Cumia asked the POTUS if he ever changed his children’s diapers, and he said no.

At that time, his wife, Melania Trump, was pregnant with their son, Barron Trump. And the president explained why he was so against doing the things that mothers are known to do.

“There’s a lot of women out there that demand that the husband acts as the wife, and you know, there’s a lot of husbands that listen to that. So, you know, they go for it,” he said.

The POTUS also said that if he had a different third wife, he wouldn’t have had any more children. But since he was married to the FLOTUS, he knew that she would be hands-on and become involved in their son’s life.

“I'm really, like, a great father, but certain things you do and certain things you don't. It's just not for me,” Trump said.

The president of the United States also said that the main role in his children’s lives is to provide for them financially. But he’s not one to walk with them down Central Park.

While he was still married to his second wife, Marla Maples, the former actress used to question why the POTUS never pushed their daughter Tiffany’s carriage down the street. Trump said that he didn’t think the image of him walking down Fifth Avenue with a stroller would work.

During his marriage to the FLOTUS, Trump praised his wife for taking great care of their child without asking him to do very much.

While speaking with Parenting, the first lady confirmed that her husband never changed Barron’s diaper. And she also said that she was completely fine with it.

“It is not important to me. It’s all about what works for you,” she said.
