  • Melania Trump's son won the hearts of fans
  • Barron Trump should be left alone, according to concerned netizens

Melania Trump and Donald Trump’s son, Barron Trump, recently made headlines after he made a public appearance with his parents.

The Trumps flew to Mar-a-Lago to spend the weekend in Florida with the FLOTUS’s parents. During their outing, eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but gush over the 13-year-old.

Other than the fact that he’s now much taller than the POTUS, some supporters of the Trump family also called Barron gorgeous.

“Oh Barron, you are gorgeous!” Twitter user @Giorgi033 said.

“Barron Trump has become so classy,” Twitter user @FathimaHussein said.

“Barron Trump looks ready for prom,” Twitter user @joshuawdevin said.

“Barron Trump serving as a great reminder to hug your little boy cousins before it’s too late,” Twitter user @lydorito said.

Some fans also urged those who are criticizing the teenager and those who are claiming that he’s on the autism spectrum to stop.

“Two things can be true at once: Donald Trump is a bad person who doesn’t deserve respect, Barron Trump should be left alone. His brain is developing. Don’t mess that up with terrible words online,” Twitter user @Squilliam_w said.

Meanwhile, some netizens also noticed how disengaged Barron seemed during his appearance with his parents. Not only did he walk a few inches behind the POTUS, he barely interacted with the people around him as well. However, there was one instance wherein he waved to the crowds.

On the online forum site Quora, Mitt Romney said that Barron is disengaged because his father is President Trump. Other netizens claimed that it’s simply because Barron is just a teenager and he shouldn’t meddle with politics or anything related to his parents’ work as the president and the first lady.

“He is a kid. He isn’t the president. He doesn’t need to be involved or engaged in anything but being a kid. This unseemly obsession that Americans (of all political creeds and eras) have with the kids of their presidential families is weird. He is a kid. He doesn’t need to be engaged,” Amal Chaaban said.
