Dow, S&P open lower; Apple lifts Nasdaq
The Dow and S&P 500 index fell at the open on Wednesday as the market continues to show signs of fatigue this week after a strong run from late last year, but the Nasdaq rose on forecast-beating results from Apple Inc
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> lost 42.92 points, or 0.34 percent, at 12,632.83. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> dipped 2.18 points, or 0.17 percent, at 1,312.47. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> added 13.41 points, or 0.48 percent, at 2,800.05.
