Drake has been named the most-streamed artist of the decade by music streaming service Spotify, with Ed Sheeran claiming the second spot in the coveted list.

According to Billboard, the “God’s Plan” hitmaker has accumulated a spell-bounding 28 billion streams over the past ten years on the famous streaming service. The “Galway Girl” hitmaker came in second and was followed in the list by Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and Eminem.

On the other hand, Sheeran’s gigantic hit song “Shape Of You” claimed the numero uno position in the list of most stream tracks of the decade. The song, alone, notched up 2.3 billion streams on Spotify, making it one of the biggest songs of all-time.

Meanwhile, Drake’s “One Dance” claimed the second position with 1.7 billion streams. The other songs on the list include Malone’s “Rockstar,” “Closer” by The Chainsmokers, and “Thinking Out Loud” by Sheeran.

Grande went on to grab the top position in the most streamed female artist list, followed by Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Sia, and Beyonce. The “7 Rings” hitmaker is the only female artist to appear in the top five of the most-streamed artists (men and women) of this decade.

Talking about 2019, the “Sunflower” hitmaker was the most streamed musician on Spotify with more than 6.5 billion streams, followed by Billie Eilish with more than 6 billion streams. Grande, Sheeran, and Bad Bunny rounded off the top five.

“Senorita” by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello was the most-streamed song of 2019, which earned more than one billion streams. Meanwhile, Eilish’s “Bad Guy” came in second with 990 million streams.

The 17-year-old musician’s debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” was also named Most Streamed Album of the Year.
