Draymond Green certainly knows how good LeBron James is, having faced him in four straight NBA Finals from 2015-2018. The Golden State Warriors forward even believes James might be better than Michael Jordan.

“I think LeBron yields a lot of power, as he should, arguably the greatest player of all time,” Green said on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday when asked about James’ influence in the league. “When you look at his resume, it’s flawless.”

Jordan’s perception as the greatest NBA player ever appeared to be bolstered by “The Last Dance,” which aired over the course of five weeks during the suspension of the 2019-2020 season. The legendary basketball player won six championships, all of which came during his final six full seasons with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan ended his career with the highest scoring average in history.

James’ longevity has kept him in the GOAT discussion. He’s likely going to finish second in the 2020 MVP race, 14 years after he was the runner-up in the 2006 MVP race. James has arguably been the NBA’s best player for over a decade, looking to lead a third franchise to a championship.

Green and the Warriors defeated James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in three of their four matchups. Cleveland pulled off one of the greatest feats in league history in 2016, coming back from a 3-1 series deficit to defeat Golden State for the title. The defending champion Warriors set a record with 73 regular-season wins that year.

James averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game to win the 2016 Finals MVP award. Green unwittingly helped spark Cleveland’s comeback by recording a flagrant foul against James that resulted in a Game 5 suspension.

Green has played his entire career with Stephen Curry, who has won two MVP awards. Green played three seasons with Kevin Durant, who won the 2017 and 2018 Finals MVP awards by leading the Warriors past James and the Cavs.

James and the Los Angeles Lakers are favored to reach the 2020 Finals when the NBA season resumes in Orlando, Florida. The 16-time All-Star has a career 3-6 record in the Finals.
