  • Drew Barrymore says she has never done plastic surgery
  • She considers herself to be a "highly addictive person" and feels she will look like Jocelyn Wildenstein if she gets one injection
  • She is happy to lead a "boring and safe and healthy" life

Drew Barrymore likes to embrace her natural beauty. She has now shared why she has "never done anything" to her face.

The Hollywood star, 45, opened up about cosmetic surgery during an episode of her talk show, "The Drew Barrymore Show."

"I've never done anything to my face and I would like to try not to," the "50 First Dates" actress said, adding, "Never say never."

Barrymore explained that she didn't want to undergo procedures that would change how she looked. "The thing that I do care about and I do feel is still relevant to my life is the face. I know myself. I'm a highly addictive person. I do one injection, I'm going to look like Jocelyn Wildenstein by Friday," she said, referring to the socialite known for her extensive cosmetic surgery.

According to the actress, she has seen what other women who try to fit certain beauty standards have gone through and doesn't want to experience the same.

"I think because I'm so rebellious that I saw all of that pressure and I saw all of those women torturing themselves to look a certain way and I thought, 'You miserable people.' I just never wanted to be afraid of what life would do to me. I probably went to too many opposite extremes. Now I'm boring and safe and healthy," Barrymore said.

Barrymore hopes that others could "let go and give in to the ride of life a little bit more."

"We're going to age, things are going to go south, and it's okay, it's a part of life," she said.

"I feel more human and more vulnerable every year of my life but I also know how to appreciate every year more and more too," added the mother-of-two.

Meanwhile, the Flower Beauty founder took to Instagram earlier this month to share some exciting news regarding beauty and hair care.

"I’m so excited to announce my newest role as Queen Bee the Creative Director & Brand Ambassador of @GarnierUSA," she posted on Instagram, along with her photos promoting the beauty products. "I’ve been waiting to tell you all the big news and now I can finally share this BUZZ! I love using Whole Blends products on my hair and now I get the chance to be a part of the #Garnier FAM!!!"
