  • The actor is currently filming superhero movie, "Black Adam"
  • He will be next seen in "Jungle Cruise" on July 30

Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram early Monday and posted a video of himself, sharing his fitness philosophy. The actor asked his fans not to skip workouts even on Sundays.

The 49-year-old wrestler-turned-actor seemed to have shot the video right after a workout session as he could be seen shirtless, dripping sweat.

Addressing nearly 250 million followers on Instagram, Johnson said, "If you can find that time on a Sunday, especially on a Sunday when most aren't working -- and that's fine because we all need that break and we all need that recalibrating and resetting to prepare for the week."

"But if you can find a way to get a little bit of work in on Sunday, just inherently, it sharpens those tools that set you up for success. It's doing that little bit extra, little bit more work on a Sunday when most aren't," he added.

The "Hobbs & Shaw" actor also noted that most people consider Sundays to be a rest day, but if someone puts in the extra effort on a Sunday, it will give them "that edge" over those who don't. However, the actor went on to explain that working out on a Sunday did not mean that one could not consider it as a "cheat day."

"Set your Sunday edge and then go wreck your cheat meals," he wrote in the caption.

Actor Ryan Ochoa, 25, took to the comments section and admitted, "Exactly what I needed after this busy Sunday. 3 am. Still gotta set my edge! Thanks for sharing."

YouTuber Jim Kwik wrote, "Wishing, like excuses, are useless. We can’t get upset by the results we didn’t get from the work we didn’t do. Don’t wish, work. Results will follow," while American swimmer Michael Phelps commented, "For sure!!! gotta get something in every day!"

On the work front, Johnson is currently filming his much-awaited superhero movie, "Black Adam," which is slated to release on July 29, 2022. He has been aggressively training for the movie for over a year now.

The actor will also feature in "Jungle Cruise," which will release on July 30.

Earlier this month, Johnson also took some time out of his busy schedule to spend time with his family at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. The actor married Lauren Hashian in 2019 and has two daughters, Tiana Gia and Jasmine, with her.
