Dwayne Johnson shared a late-night training photo on Instagram, hinting at a big week for his upcoming movie, "Black Adam," which is slated to release on July 29, 2022.

The 49-year-old actor took to the social media platform Monday to share how hard he has been working out along with strict dieting for his new superhero movie. In the Instagram picture, he could be seen in the gym flaunting his ripped physique.

"Big week for #BlackAdam shooting my ‘champion’ scenes with my shirt off and showing my body," he captioned the post. "Been working extremely hard dieting, training, and conditioning unlike any other role of my entire career," he continued.

The Rock also noted that the combination of science and strength training helped him to achieve his goals. "Manipulating water, sodium, cardio but also having to push and pull real iron to have dense, dry, detailed muscle," he noted. "It’s a real science that takes months and months to dial it all in with my strength & conditioning coach @daverienzi who keeps a very watchful eye, constantly fine tuning our strategy daily."

The wrestler-turned-actor went on to explain the comic mythology of Teth Adam and how his character is blessed with the powers of Superman. But then his rage turns his soul dark, forever becoming Black Adam.

"As many of you know, the intense (and exciting) comic mythology of Teth Adam - he becomes the immortal “champion” by the Gods... Blessed with the powers of Superman and dangerous magic from the wizards."

"Then his rage turns his soul dark, forever becoming Black Adam," he concluded. "Big week, grateful for the grind & support - here we go."

It's been over a year now since the actor is preparing his body for "Black Adam." Besides training, he has also been sharing his fitness regime from time to time on social media.

Johnson also shared a post Monday to celebrate Memorial Day and captioned: "Thank you. Forever grateful for your duty and sacrifice. Forever proud."

Last week, Johnson shared a new trailer of his upcoming movie, "Jungle Cruise," on Twitter and one of the fans replied: "Why is no one talking about that one time @TheRock wore a crop top for a magazine?"

Replying to the fan, the actor said: "In addition to the crop top, I actually made the choice to show my tan line. Geeeezus."

"Jungle Cruise" is slated to release on July 30, 2021.
